Dana M. Moss

FOUNDING DIRECTOR

Dana M. Moss is Assistant Professor of Sociology at the University of Pittsburgh. Her research interests include repression, social movements, social change, inequality, culture, the Middle East and North Africa, and Arab diasporas.  She is currently researching–among other topics–transnational Yemeni activism in response to the Arab Spring.

In 2009, Dana attended the Yemen College of Middle Eastern Studies in San‘a, Yemen, for intensive summer Arabic study, and returned to Yemen in 2010 and 2012.
