Eric Eikenberry

ADVOCACY OFFICER

Eric Eikenberry is currently finishing a Master’s in Middle East Studies at GWU’s Elliott School of International Affairs. He graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2014 with a major in Global Studies and a minor in Arabic. Previously, Eric worked as both a research assistant and advocacy associate at Americans for Democracy & Human Rights in Bahrain.
As the YPP’s lead advocacy officer, Eric supports Executive Director Will Picard and Director of Policy & Advocacy Kate Kizer as they advocate for US government agencies to adopt policies that will encourage a lasting and inclusive peace in Yemen. His daily responsibilities include tracking Congressional, White House, and State Department engagement with Yemen-related issues, and he also assists with the organization’s research and analysis program.
