Yemen analyst, author, and Carnegie Endowment associate Christopher Boucek died suddenly this morning at the age of 38. He leaves behind a wife and two young children. Boucek was one the Yemen watchers whom I greatly admired. His work showed a real concern understanding for the needs of Yemen's people. I never knew Boucek personally, but I know that the community of Yemen analysts and policy makers are greatly impoverished by this loss.
