April 10: Unidentified gunmen opened fire at a border patrol in Dharan al-Janoub. Two Saudi Arabian border guards were killed. Saudi Arabia has been constructing a security fence along its 1,800 km border with Yemen since 2003.

 
April 10: Sharif Mobley, a 30-year old American citizen, who has been in custody since 2010, has abruptly disappered. He was accused of murdering a Yemeni guard after he was captured on terrorism charges. There is speculation that the US government was complicit in his capture and interrogation. 
 
April 10: A photo guide to popular sweets sold in Sana'a.
 
April 10: Donor countries insist that Yemen lift its oil subsidies. However, a Yemeni Cabinet member assured the population that fuel subsidies will remain, although the population is skeptical of this assurance.
 
April 8: President Hadi established a committee to resolve a case of child abduction in Hadhramawt. The child was abducted to resolve a debt issue by an al-Musabini tribesmen. The father of the child insists on tribal arbitration.
